Upper and Lower Ball Joints
- Precision-machined housing allows for advanced technology and low-friction bearing designs that cannot be used in a stamped housing. The result is easier steering and better return-to-center
- Case-hardened housing provides a harder and deeper bearing surface for increased strength and durability
- Polyurethane boots help resist cracking, splitting, and dry rotting, while eliminating contamination that contributes to premature joint failure
- Advanced corrosion coatings help provide the best possible protection for the harshest conditions
Inner and Outer Tie Rod Ends
- Precision-machined housing allows for use of advanced-technology performance-tested low-friction polymer upper bearing material that helps provide smoother, easier steering, better return-to-center, and the elimination of endplay
- Powdered metal or gusher lower bearings improve assembly strength
- Yellow zinc dichromate anticorrosive coating helps increase corrosion protection
- Heat-treated ball ends are precision-finished for consistent torque and smooth operation throughout the entire range of travel
- Case-hardened, full-ball-type stud offers tighter overall fit
Drag and Center Links
- Hot-forged alloy steel offers superior strength
- Compressed bushing material expands as wear occurs to extend service life
- Black coating helps provide added rust protection
- Low-friction constant-torque pivot joint helps provide accurate rotational movement without sideplay
Idler and Pitman Arms
- Patented, low-friction bearing set provides constant ease of rotation while maintaining zero side-to-side motion
- Hot-forged alloy steel arm gives added strength
- Advanced corrosion coatings provide superb protection for some of the harshest conditions
- Application-specific-designed boot provides a positive seal that helps prevent contaminants from entering the bearing area, and maintains moisture-proof seal of internal components
- Cold-formed, heat-treated “T” stud design undergoes a higher-precision machining process to help reduce friction and eliminate excessive endplay, resulting in stable steering
- Case-hardened and coated seat helps provide consistent pre-load and protection from the elements
Bushings/Kits
- High-temperature synthetics help withstand high impacts and resist environmental factors, while providing optimal performance and extended service life
- “Silent-bloc” metal sleeve/rubber design bushings (in control arm applications) are exceptionally durable and provide proper alignment and ride stability
- Polyurethane bushings used on ACDelco Sway Bar Links feature excellent abrasion, wear resistance, extreme temperature tolerances, and resistance to oils, fluids, and carbons. In addition, they have a lower compression set than the more commonly used rubber bushings
- ACDelco Bushings are available for a wide variety of applications; control/radius/torque arms, suspensions, sway bars, springs, and camber adjustments
Coil Springs
- Comprehensive range of constant and variable rate coil springs
ACDelco also offers a complete line of:
- Sway bar kits
- King pins
- Control arms
- Alignment products
- Torque rods
To keep its broad coverage on the cutting edge, ACDelco implements a business philosophy called value engineering. This process enables us to determine when to consolidate parts and when to expand the product line. As a result, ACDelco can improve part performance and provide an efficient product inventory without compromising fit, form, or function.
