ACDelco gas-charged shocks are manufactured from quality materials, contribute to a smooth ride, and fit most vehicles on the road today. Other features include:

• Gas charge reduces the mixing of air and oil, thus decreasing the possibility of “foaming” and subsequent ride deterioration
• O-ring piston seal provides a positive hydraulic seal allowing little blow-by of fluids, helping improve resistance and predictability of the dampening response
• Electrostatically applied paint for excellent coverage and corrosion resistance in a hostile environment
• Full perimeter multi-lip piston rod seal, permanently lubricated for greater durability
• A hardened, chromed piston rod with micro pores, provides an ultrasmooth, self-lubricating, corrosion- and scratch-resistant surface, helping increase seal life
• A drawn-over mandrel processed inner cylinder provides a very smooth, consistent diameter. This process reduces O-ring piston seal wear to help increase durability
• Nitrogen gas-charging in a sealed chamber provides accurate nitrogen gas pressurization for consistency in response and handling
• All-weather fluid with lubricity enhancing additives helps reduce wear on internal components
