An independent longevity study conducted by an independent laboratory in the United States analyzed comparable automotive battery types in five geographic areas nationwide to assess battery field life. The results were dramatic. According to the study, ACDelco Batteries last:

Research and Development

Engineers are constantly analyzing and exploring new grid designs and shapes that could reduce hot spots.

In the past two decades, some 126 evolutionary changes have improved the quality and life expectancy of the ACDelco Battery. These changes include the patented "flex-rib" casing design, which reduces damage done to grids as a result of vibration and keeps the grids in place longer once they start to deteriorate, reducing the unit's potential for shorting out.
