Fuel filters are used to protect the vehicle fuel system from dirt, rust, scale and water contaminants that can plug or damage carburetors and fuel injectors and cause poor vehicle performance and engine failure.

ACDelco Fuel Filters prevent engine contamination and help provide a long, trouble-free engine life. They are available for in-line, in-carburetor and fuel-injection applications. In-Line Fuel Filter:

Fuel-Injector Filter:

• Meets filtering requirements of throttle-body port, central port and other fuel-injection systems
• Seams are laser-welded to withstand high pressure of fuel-injection systems
• Filter media are pleated and phenolic-impregnated to increase filter capacity, efficiency and rigidity
• Inner-end plates are made of specially coated metal that is chemically resistant to all fuels currently available
• Available in a full line of stainless-steel and plastic filter products
• Fittings are available in a variety of styles, including O-ring, tube and new quick-connect fittings that provide easy installation with less labor and tooling

Manufacturing Process

The carburetor fuel filter elements are hand-glued, automatically assembled and 100 percent leak-tested. Newer fuel-injection filters utilize the high-speed folding machine and the latest laser-welding technology for the final assembly. Continuous production monitoring is used to ensure that pleat sealing and to meet the requirements of QS-9000 Standards.
