The cellulose and synthetic fibers, used in ACDelco Oil Filters, can trap contaminant particles as small as 25 microns smaller than the human hair. Manufacturing Process The oil filter process has been modified to provide a high-quality, synchronous manufacturing system. The filter shell fabrication utilizes the latest in draw-and-iron technology. Assembly of the filter element and its oven curing provide a high-strength, sealed filter medium. Our final assembly area uses the latest manufacturing technology. In-process monitoring is used to ensure pleat sealing and a 100 percent leak test and is continuously recorded to meet QS-9000 requirements.
