A FRESH

PERSPECTIVE

NATURE'S SPAM FILTER
Alga e is usually thought of as seaweed or pond scum.
But "alga e" actually refers to a large, diverse group of organisms capable of photosynthesis, a process that could go further in helping to scrub the atmosphere of harmful pollutants.

In photosynthesis, plants, like alga e, produce energy and release oxygen by absorbing sunlight and carbon dioxide (CO2). But unlike land plants, alga e can be cultivated in uniquely situated aquatic farms.

An alga e farm was placed above a busy highway in Switzerland. Within water-filled glass tubes, the alga e bloomed, capturing the CO2 from the vehicles passing below and replacing it with fresh oxygen.
MULTILAYERED
APPROACH

While ACDelco Cabin Air Filters don't filter CO2, they do help to prevent pollen and most other airborne allergens from entering through a vehicle's fresh-air inlets.

ACDelco GM O E Cabin Air Filters have layered construction that creates "separated" media in order to help contain certain dust and pollen particles, resulting in high efficiency.

ACDelco GM O E Cabin Air Filters feature electrostatic multilayer inserts that catch up to 95 percent of dirt, dust, pollen and other pollutants before entering the cabin through the fresh-air inlet.*
